Kong: Skull Island is Legendary's next installment in their MonsterVerse, and stars Tom Hiddleston, Brie Larson, Samuel L. Jackson, John Goodman, and John C. Reilly. A pretty tremendous cast. I was moderately excited for this film. I loved the 2014 Godzilla, and I knew that this film would be connected to Godzilla. In the same Universe. The MonsterVerse. I am super happy they are creating their own Cinematic Universe. I loved this film. Just going to say it. The acting, the action, effects, and the score!Henry Jackman does a tremendous job at scoring this movie. The soundtrack is also pretty good. I felt it took too much from Guardians of the Galaxy with their score and sometimes it didn't quite fit the tone of the movie or the scene. Nonetheless, I loved the score. Now let's get to the part you have all been waiting for: KONG! I saw way more Kong in this movie than I thought I was going to! He comes in at around the 25-30 minute mark. That's pretty early! Now, let's talk about the End-credits scene! Tom Hiddleston and Brie Larson character get taken into a room by monarch, and they are showing pictures of, and I don't not remember all of them, but I know it showed Godzilla, maybe Mothra, and maybe Rodan, but I don't really remember. Anyways, with a tremendous cast, stunning visuals, great score, but a somewhat lousy soundtrack, this movie gets a 8.5/10.
